Helloooo reader pals. Reporting back after my first month in ages without a set TBR. My thoughts are…. mixed? I read a little less than usual in June but I think that’s less due to my lack of TBR than the fact that I was SILLY BUSY all month long. I helped out with several Twitch streaming events this past month, and hosted my own major fundraising event (it went fantastic btw) so reading was unfortunately not my top priority! But that’s okay, some months have to be like that.
I’m skipping the TBR one more time for this month, July, but then I think I want to bring it back. For this month I’ve got two weeks of vacation planned (the classic rest and recovery after Pride Month) so I’ll hopefully have more time to read? But who knows!
Anyways, June was another mostly audiobook month. Libro.fm is probably the most used app on my iPhone right now which is kind of incredible.
Oh and also - I’m still an AADL Summer Game overachiever and I am still being massively beaten by the somehow even more overachieving overachievers in the top of the leaderboard. It’s fine I’m not competitive at all it’s not like I’m a fire sign or anything… sigh.
Alright, happy reading y’all. I hope you get some outside reading time but like… not in 100 degree weather!

July 2025 Hopeful Reads
Last month with no TBR!
Disability Pride Month Reading
July is Disability Pride Month - a great time to add some books to your TBR that showcase disabled perspectives! I highly recommend adding some books to your TBR that are written by disabled authors and/or feature disabled characters. If you’re looking for a place to start, my favorite audiobook provider Libro.fm has a Disability Pride playlist!
Bella’s Book Recs
I’ve shared a few different lists of book recommendations (my list of books with queer representation and my list of books that are great for halloween) but I’ve realized I didn’t have just a general list of books that I recommend… so now I do! This is a list that will continue to evolve and grow as I come up with more recommendations so keep in mind it’s not exactly 100% done, but I hope you enjoy!
