The best part of July might have been spending time at the beach with a book. The worst part was definitely the extra long power outage but honestly having a book made that not so bad! I got through a ton this past month, including a few incredible audiobooks like Happy Place (Julia Whelan is such an incredible narrator) and Pineapple Street. I’m impressed with how many 5-star reads I had this month, but I can’t not talk about the first 1-star of the year. I read The Genius Plague with my partner (a nerd) and I had such high expectations for this book and the plot was so interesting but I really truly could not stand the main character (sorrrry). But it was fun reading with my partner, and the 5-stars more than made up for this one.

I’m gearing up for an ARC catch-up next month because I am doing all I can to make my NetGalley numbers pretty. Will I get through all of them? Hopefully… although I’ll be the first to admit that this TBR is way bigger than I can tackle in one very busy upcoming month. But, oh well! I’ll simply never stop dreaming big with my monthly TBRs!
