March! My best reading month of the year (so far)!! Has come to a close!!! I didn’t expect it but I somehow had so much motivation to read this month. Between early spring vibes (my favorite time of the year), the readathon I hosted with my pal Bookie, continuing my Hunger Games reading, and the Trans Rights Readathon, there were just so many incredible reasons to read this past month.
I ended March caught up on my StoryGraph reading goal for the year (I’m one book behind at the time of writing this but… shh) and I literally doubled the number of books I’d read this year. I’m feeling so motivated to continue reading and I have lots of exciting books on my to read list for April! Including a new release from my favorite romance author, Emily Henry, that comes out a few days after my birthday this year. It’s going to be a really lovely reading month I can tell.
Anyways, I’ll check back in next month to see how the reading has been going. Wishing you a very happy April full of the best books ever. Enjoy!

Trans Rights Readathon 2025
This past month I participated in the Trans Rights Readathon of 2025. I read four incredible books written by trans authors or showcasing trans stories and I had such a lovely time browsing book recommendations on Instagram and hearing recommendations from friends to exapnd my TBR with lots of books with trans rep! Even though the TRR ended on March 31st, Trans Day of Visibility, it’s important to keep reading trans books all year round!
Bella is on BookTube
After uploading some introductory BookTube videos I’ve been working on a series where I share my (many) thoughts on the Hunger Games books as I re-read them in preparation for the upcoming prequel. It’s been super fun and as of writing this I’ve got videos up about the original Hunger Games trilogy and the first prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! The video on Sunrise on the Reaping will be up soon, so keep an eye on my YouTube channel!
The Hunger Games Buddy Read 2025 StoryGraph Challenge
This year, in honor of the new Hunger Games prequel book that realeasted in March, Sunrise On The Reaping by Suzanne Collins, I’m re-reading all of The Hunger Games series and you’re welcome to join me! I have buddy reads through StoryGraph set up for each book in the series and an accompanying StoryGraph challenge to track progress with the re-read. Join for shared discussion on the books, or just take a peek at my comments (and there will be… a lot).
Cashew Town Book Club
We’re back in 2025 with a new structure for book club! This year, book selections will be made every other month, so we’ll have two months to finish our books before discussions. Plus, discussion times will be set ahead of time so you can keep them on your calendar as you read. If you’d like to join Book Club stop by Bella’s stream for the Discord invite. You can keep up with book club selections and additional discussion forums through the StoryGraph book club.
Bella’s Book Recs
I’ve shared a few different lists of book recommendations (my list of books with queer representation and my list of books that are great for halloween) but I’ve realized I didn’t have just a general list of books that I recommend… so now I do! This is a list that will continue to evolve and grow as I come up with more recommendations so keep in mind it’s not exactly 100% done, but I hope you enjoy!
