Big Gay Dig Day is an annual event hosted on Bella’s Twitch channel and community Minecraft server during Pride Month. It’s a celebration of queer joy, a fundraising event, and most importantly a silly day spent digging a big huge giant hole in Minecraft. Together. For charity.

During the event, players on the Cashew Town Minecraft SMP server join together in a designated location to dig up blocks of dirt, stone, and whatever else they find in a pre-determined circular spot. Tools and resources needed like shovels, pickaxes, and food, are provided. No prior experience in Minecraft is necessary and lots of guidance and instructions are available during the dig. In previous years the dig has taken all day long (~12 hours of streaming). Bella takes lots of breaks throughout stream and encourages players to take breaks as well, so many folks pop in and out for portions of the day! This year the event will be open to everyone, not just folks in Bella’s streaming Discord. Read the Get Involved section below for ways to participate!

Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved as a Minecraft player, a fellow streamer/content creator, a sponsor, or a donator!

  • Join the Minecraft Event: all Minecraft players are welcome to join the Cashew Town Minecraft SMP. The server will be open to join starting June 1, 2025. Instructions and joining information can be found through the Big Gay Dig Day Discord server.
  • Stream or Create Content of BGDD: all creators are welcome to stream or make content about or on Big Gay Dig Day, in fact it’s really helpful if you do! You are welcome to re-stream Bella’s stream if you’d prefer not to join the Minecraft server yourself, or feel free to stream or make content on your perspective during the event!
  • Amplify the Fundraiser: all fundraising will be done through Tiltify and is open to participants if you’d like to join! Feel free to create your own Amplify link through Tiltify to share the campaign with your audience. This link will show the contributions from your community specifically but all donations will still support the overall fundraising goal.
  • Sponsor a Beacon: This year we’d like to open up “Sponsorship” spots to those interested in making a larger donation towards the Big Gay Dig Day fundraising goal. If you make a donation of $100 and redeem the BGDD Sponsor reward on Tiltify we will include your name, username, or logo on one of the Minecraft beacons - an important and helpful piece of Big Gay Dig day which allows us to dig faster - and give you a special thank you shout out during stream! These donations will only be available up to one week before the Big Gay Dig Day event, and there are limited slots, so donate early if you’re interested! It’s sort of like a little ad placement
 but in Minecraft and for charity! Please note this is not an official event/stream “sponsor” in the traditional sense, this is just a special thank you / shout out for folks who make a large donation.
  • Donate to TLC: You can donate to the Big Gay Dig Day fundraiser supporting Transgender Law Center through Tiltify via this link. Donations of any amount are encouraged, even $1 or $5 adds up towards our goal! And if you donate on the day of the event, your donation can help with our digging effot!
